This is the original cast recording of Rooke's musical based on Brendan Behan's play, The Hostage. The actors give it lots of energy and fun, Irish accents, as Rooke fills in the remaining vocals. The band recordings were done in Jim's studio, but most of the actors were recorded at the theater. Nice instrumentation here, but there were no drums for this performance or recording, so the sound is folksy and clearly musical theater. Rooke at their artsiest!
